Day 1 · Arrival in Egypt

Arrive at Cairo Airport where your representative meets you for a private transfer to your hotel, allowing time to rest before touring begins.

Day 2 · Cairo – Egyptian Museum & Great Pyramids

Examine the three Great Pyramids and the Sphinx on the Giza Plateau, then continue to Tahrir Square for a guided visit of the Egyptian Museum.

Day 3 · Nile Cruise - Aswan

Fly to Aswan to embark your cruise boat, visiting the High Dam and taking a motorboat out to the relocated Ptolemaic Temple of Philae.

Day 4 · Nile Cruise – Kom Ombo & Edfu

Cruise to the riverside temple of Kom Ombo dedicated to Sobek and Haroeris, continuing downriver to tour the sandstone temple of Horus at Edfu.

Day 5 · Nile Cruise – Luxor West Bank

Day 2 · Cairo – Great Pyramids & Egyptian Museum

Visit the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir Square with your guide to explore ancient statues, burial objects and other highlights of the collection. Explore the pyramids of Khufu, Khafre and Menkaure with your Egyptologist guide, with stops for views across the Giza Plateau. Continue to the Great Sphinx and Valley Temple. Entry inside a pyramid requires a separate ticket and advance confirmation. After the visits, transfer to your accommodation or onward connection as arranged in your quotation.

Day 3 · Cairo – Memphis, Sakkara & Old Cairo

Visit Djoser's Step Pyramid complex at Saqqara, including its colonnaded entrance and Old Kingdom burial architecture. Proceed to the quieter pyramid field at Dahshur to observe King Sneferu's Bent Pyramid and Red Pyramid, illustrating the architectural transition to smooth-sided royal tombs. At the open-air museum in Memphis, see the reclining limestone statue of Ramesses II and the Alabaster Sphinx. Ascend to the Citadel of Salah El-Din on the Mokattam hills to visit the Mosque of Muhammad Ali and take in wide views across historic Cairo. Walk through the historic lanes of Old Coptic Cairo to visit the Hanging Church (Al-Muallaqa), the church of Saints Sergius and Bacchus (Abu Serga), the Ben Ezra Synagogue area. Combine today's scheduled touring with an evening transfer to the railway station to board the overnight sleeper train, or arrive from the rail journey and meet your local representative at the platform. Day 4 · Nile Cruise - Aswan

Visit the Aswan High Dam to understand modern flood control along the Nile and view the northern expanse of Lake Nasser. Take a short local motorboat crossing to Agilkia Island to tour the relocated Temple of Isis at Philae and its Ptolemaic colonnades. Transfer to the railway station for the scheduled train connection along the Nile corridor, meeting your local coordinator and private vehicle upon arrival. Day 5 · Nile Cruise – Aswan Open Day

Day 6 · Nile Cruise - Edfu

Call at Edfu to visit the well-preserved Ptolemaic Temple of Horus, examining its towering entrance pylon, courtyard reliefs, and inner sanctuary. Go ashore at Kom Ombo to explore the symmetrical double temple overlooking the Nile, dedicated jointly to Sobek the crocodile god and Haroeris. Day 7 · Nile Cruise – Luxor West Bank

Cross to the West Bank of Luxor to enter the Valley of the Kings, visiting the rock-cut royal tombs included in the standard admission while noting that special tombs like Tutankhamun require a separate ticket. Continue to the terraced mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir el-Bahari, set dramatically against the desert cliffs. Pause at the Colossi of Memnon, the twin seated statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep III guarding the Theban necropolis. Explore Luxor Temple in the heart of the city, observing the courtyard of Amenhotep III, the colossi of Ramesses II, and the processional Avenue of Sphinxes. Double / Twin Occupancy: $1390 per person | Single Room / Cabin: $2016 | Triple Room: $1321 per person. Children (under 12 sharing with adults) receive a 50% discount. Rates include scheduled accommodation, domestic guiding, and transfers as detailed in the proposal.

Walking, steps and sun protection

Expect steps, uneven ground and time in the sun at archaeological sites and desert stops. Wear comfortable closed-toe shoes and bring water and sun protection. Tell us about any walking or access needs before the route is confirmed.

Museum and monument admission specifics

This itinerary visits the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir Square. Confirm the entrance tickets included in your quotation. Special tombs and pyramid interiors may need separate tickets and advance arrangements.

Rates start from $1390 per person based on double occupancy. Single room/cabin supplements ($2016) and triple room savings ($1321 per person) apply. Final quotes reflect verified hotel and vessel availability.

Are monument entrance tickets and meals included automatically?

Check your quotation for the entrance tickets, boat crossings, meals and transport included in the price. The itinerary shows the proposed visits; any extra tickets or services are confirmed separately before booking.

Which Cairo museum or monument selection does this itinerary follow?

The itinerary names the museum and monuments planned for your visit, including the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir Square. If you prefer a different museum, discuss that change before the quotation is confirmed.

Can pickup times and pacing be adjusted for our group?
